Then finally a landlord was nice enough to allow them and the dogs as long as they got themselves renters insurance just in case the dogs did any damage. You might want to look into some cheap renters insurance ( usually you can get it through whoever you have yer car insurance through) and then mention that to the next place you call on that is for rent that you like. Maybe them knowing you are covered in case your dog happens to eat the wall or anything....lol...they might be more willing to take you with an animal in there rental having some....Godluck to you guys I hope you find something quick!
