So I’ve learned
So I’ve learned
Oct 07I’ve only been a mom for a little over a week but I’ve learned some things already
- Baby wakes up = feed NOW. 1 minute is too long or a screaming fit will occur
- Diaper changes are like WWIII
- 5 minutes is a god send. There is so much you can accomplish if you know what needs to get done.
- Waking up with a soaking bed due to leaking boob juice is a regular occurrence
- If you have an aversion to bodily fluids you will get over them quickly. I’ve been pooped on once, peed on 3 times, and spit up on countless times
- Watching her sleep with her daddy is absolutely priceless
- Pumping blows hardcore. It’s time consuming and not always productive enough
- When she looks at you with her big, wide, eyes curiously but perfectly content you realize just how much the world revolves around her and wouldn’t have it any other way

I’m telling you, you should really try to get her to nurse directly. If you don’t mind me asking, what is the aversion? Is it sore nipples? If it is, the feeling will pass. You *will* get acclimated to the sensation of her lacking on and sucking! Of course, you do need to make sure that she is latching correctly.
And I hear you on the body fluids aversion thing. I have an aversion to outright kid vomit, but urine, poop and baby spit up? Pfft. I barely blink when I go to change Ryan, and I ceased getting grossed out by baby spit up not long after my brothers were born.
Also, I love those wide-eyed baby looks. You should get some pictures of them!
Aww very cute
I don’t like body fluids thingy maybe it will change later on but it makes me feel ill..
“leaking boob juice” sorry but I had to LOL
