I don't blame you at all for being annoyed. I hope Gracie decides to make her a appearance soon.

OMG, that sounds terrible! I can totally see why you're so aggravated. I would be so annoyed if I got the same text from 5 different people on a daily basis. Well, I hope Gracie (btw, cutest name ever!) arrives soon!

Cramping is good. Cramping, twinges and general aches often mean that your uterus is doing some test driving -- Braxton Hicks contractions and the like. You may be dilating a bit more, and hopefully your cervix is softening up and thinning out as well.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but a due date is an estimate that can be off a week or so in either direction. Also, most first-time pregnancies go beyond the due date. (I was nine days past due with Alyssa when I had her!)

I know that you know the risks of inductions, so I won't harp on that. Just... you know... birth complications, fetal stress, placenta abruption, uterine rupture, etc.

I'm sure you've tried all sorts of things to get comfortable, but have you tried stuffing 1-2 pillows beneath your legs when you're laying on your back? Elevating your legs beneath your knees may help you get a bit more comfortable. If you're laying on your side, use a pillow or two between your thighs to straighten out your spine. If you have a recliner, that might help too.

And I hear you on the texts! Oh man, my phone would not stop ringing/buzzing when my due date came and went. People went nuts! And speaking of cell phones... can I have your cell number? Or do I have it from before? I can't remember, ahh! I would love to know when you got into labor! :)

So Amanda... are you in labor yet?
Haha, just kidding.

That's pretty silly of them to keep asking. Plus, if you WERE in labor, do they think you'd really pick up your cell phone and text them? Just turn the phone off and tell everyone to leave you alone, lol. That is what I would do.

I hope you get some rest and feel better until Gracie comes!

I agree with Sarah on the cervical check. Mine was checked at 36 weeks and I was 3m right up until my c-section with no change. That might just frustrate you more. I can completely understand where you are coming from though & I'm sorry you're feeling this way. Hopefully little miss Gracie makes her appearance soon.

I don't know if I would even recommend getting a cervical check, you could be as much as 3cm and be like that for another week, or you could have no change at all and take it "personally" if you will.

I'm due on Friday and not ONE PERSON has asked me how I'm doing, how the baby is, etc.
