with me being preggo and completely not feeling like doing ANYTHING, Marcus has volunteered to do a lot around the apartment. I feel bad of course so once this first trimester is over I hope my energy will be back so I can at least help him clean!

Josh and I both do things around the house. We're both good at cooking so we both cook. Then we'll take turns doing the dishes depending on who cooked, usually. Or one of us will wash and one will dry (we have no dishwasher) because that's faster. Josh has been doing the laundry lately and I have been sweeping and washing the floor and cleaning the counters, etc. Really, if something needs to be done and one of us sees it, then one of us will do it. Josh is great with helping out - I'm really lucky.

I do most the cleaning in my house because if I let the husband do it, it isn't how I want it to be done :)

I pretty much do everything around the house, not because I have to, but because I want to. Matthew helps out a lot - mainly when I am not home but when I am I'd just rather do it to keep busy.

As far as the kitchen being your domain, mine is too. I also clean the bathroom. I think I'm a little OCD with both I just can't stand germs and things. Ew.

I guess all in all things are quite equal. he keeps up on the hardworking / house hold things that need fixing, the dog, etc. I'm quite content.

When I was working from home and going to school part time, I did more of the work. Now, with 4 full days of school and the weekends being used mainly for homework, we're equal in the household stuff.

James does the outside (yard, hedges, car maintenance), and I do the cleaning up of the house. We split the laundry, in that he goes and starts it, moves it over, and brings it in (our laundry room is in the garage), and I fold it and put it away. That works out well, as I tend to forget it's out there, and he hates to fold.

In my home me and my husband share the responsibilities, though he tends to do more of the garden work and cooking. I tend to do more of the cleaning and looking after the cats. We try to be equal since we have similar working hours.

Enjoying cleaning? It could be nesting, or you could be just like my mother-in-law who loves it.

In our house it's pretty much who feels like doing what whenever. The only thing really set in stone is that Shawn changes the litter box and I clean up after the dogs--like vacuuming the couch or accidents while we are at work.

When I was home on maternity leave I did everything because Shawn's job is physically demanding.

Branden and I split things up a lot. I do my laundry, he does his, but if there's stuff that's used mutually (towels, mainly) I do that, just because I can remember to switch it to the dryer and such. I do the cooking, he doesn't know how. We alternate on doing the dishes, and we both clean up when we need to. He does most of the litter box scooping, but I feed and give water to the cats and clean out the hamster cage.

And when he cleans, I direct because he'll put stuff where it doesn't go. lol.

I suppose Derek and I don't really do much splitting up... we both do the dishes, laundry, etc.
I usually clean the bathroom but that's because I'm the one that gets bothered by it. And I usually clean my Sammie chinchilla's cage because... well, he's mine, haha.
The only thing we really don't share is folding clothes. I fold mine, he folds his, because we have different ways of folding and they're mutually bothersome to the other person. :P
Oh, and I usually do a lot of tidying/organizing because it's one of those weird things I enjoy doing... strangely enough. (I like putting things in alpha order, organizing the tea drawer, etc. It's weird. I don't get it.)
We also cook together, because we love cooking and we have a lot of fun doing it. It's something we love to share.
